Southsea Food Festival

Every now and again, there’s nothing better than escaping the hustle and bustle of London for a lovely relaxing weekend by the seaside.  By happy coincidence, I had picked the weekend of the Southsea Food Festival to go home, so a cycle into town resulted in a wonderful stroll around the markets, and a lovely haul of fresh produce to bring home.

Stalls lined the streets, and it was packed with everyone tucking into local produce and sipping on quirky drinks.  The Gin Emporium van was serving up some super cool gin based cocktails…

There was a lot of ready-made food to buy too.  This guy had a rather hefty pan of paella on the go!

Martin was heading up Southsea Coffee Co’s stall, serving a selection of their Ginger and Peach scrummy vegan food. More about these guys coming soon!

It was the perfect Sunday market to wander around, and so lovely to see the Southsea community celebrating all of their foodie delights. Borough market, eat your heart out! I headed home with a bag full of goodies…

A pretty good haul, I’d say!
