Banana, Cinnamon and Peanut Butter Smoothie

Smoothies are one of the easiest breakfasts to make.  You can pretty much put anything in them, and they’re great to drink on the go.  You can even make this the night before, so it’s ready to just pick up out of the fridge in the morning and take with you to work.

I always like using a banana for the base, as it makes it lovely and creamy.  Peanut butter and banana are a winning combination, and make for a deliciously indulgent breakfast.  Using almond milk and nut butter (like Meridian) which contains nothing but nuts, means that it tastes much naughtier than it actually is.


You will need:

– 1 very ripe banana

– 1 cup of almond milk

– 1 tbsp of nut butter

– 1/2 tsp of cinnamon

– 1 squeeze of sweetener

– 4 ice cubes


Yes, you’re correct in thinking that is the world’s largest tub of peanut butter…

Using a ripe banana is important because this makes it lovely and sweet- unripe ones can be a bit bitter.  Feel free to use whichever sweetener you prefer/ have in your cupboard.  I used Sweet Freedom here, but you can use honey or agave nectar if you like.

All you need to do is blitz up all of the ingredients into a blender until smooth (I use a Nutribullet as it is super quick), and pour into a glass.


Sprinkle over a little more cinnamon and enjoy!
